Coronavirus
Priorities USA: Cases
The following comes from the official press release for “Cases” at the Priorities USA website:
“Cases” contrasts the exponential rise in American coronavirus cases with Donald Trump’s constant stream of misinformation that the risk is “very low” and “the numbers are very minuscule.” The ad highlights Trump’s call to “slow the testing down,” an order that was meant to bolster his political standing at the expense of the health and safety of the American people.
“Cases” will run on cable and broadcast in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. The ad is reminiscent of “Exponential Threat,” an ad run by Priorities several months ago that the Trump campaign is currently suing over.

Priorities USA: Distract
Priorities USA Releases Ad Charging Trump with Attempting to Distract From His Coronavirus Failures
The following description comes courtesy of the Priorities USA Official Press Release for “Distract”
“As part of a million dollar per week digital advertising campaign, Priorities USA Action is launching its latest ad holding Trump accountable for running false negative ads about Joe Biden. Trump is trying to distract voters from his own failure to protect the American people as the coronavirus continues to devastate communities and our country is plunged into economic freefall.“

“The negative ads by the Trump campaign contain lies that attempt to shield the President from blame for his failed pandemic response. Priorities is responding with the truth. “Distract” follows Trump’s repeated attempts to ignore and downplay the threat of coronavirus even as the crisis took tens of thousands of American lives and cost 33 million Americans their jobs. Instead of listening to American intelligence agencies and medical experts, Trump cited his correspondence with the president of China as evidence that the threat of the virus was being overblown by experts and the media. “
“While thousands of Americans are getting sick every week and millions are out of work, Donald Trump claims that his administration has done ‘one hell of a job.’ This is simply false”…“Donald Trump is lying about Joe Biden because he knows that the more voters are reminded of his failures responding to the coronavirus, the less likely he is to win reelection. Trump’s lies about his failed presidency make the investments Priorities is making in bringing accurate information to voters more critical than ever. We will continue to communicate the truth to the American people.”
Guy Cecil, Chairman of Priorities USA.
Priorities USA has now spent more than $11 million on ads related to Trump’s response to coronavirus. This is part of Priorities’ $200 million investment through Election Day to, in their words, tell voters “the truth about the chaos of Donald Trump’s presidency” and defeat him in November.
Priorities USA: First (Updated)

Priorities USA Action is launching an updated version of their “FIRST” TV ad tying the mounting coronavirus death toll and economic turmoil to Donald Trump’s continued failure to adequately prepare for and respond to this crisis.
The ad will be running on cable and broadcast in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin as part of the $65 million of TV reservations Priorities has already announced through Election Day. This is part of Priorities’ $200 million commitment to defeat Donald Trump. Priorities has already spent over $10 million on TV and digital ads related to President Trump’s failed response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump claimed he would put “America First” and now he has – the United States leads the world in coronavirus cases, twice as many Americans have died than people in any other country, and 26 million Americans are unemployed. The new ad, “First,” highlights how Trump has made the crisis far worse by downplaying the threat, ignoring the experts, and refusing to prepare. Like Priorities’ previous ads on the topic, “First” includes footage from Trump’s politically toxic daily press briefings. New polling from Navigator shows that a majority of voters believe Trump should leave the briefings to health experts rather than continue to do them himself.

With an incompetent administration still struggling to deliver on basic medical equipment and tests required to reopen the economy, American families are suffering because of Trump’s failed leadership.
“More than 55,000 Americans have died, a worse toll than any other country in the world. Donald Trump is failing at a time when the stakes couldn’t be higher,”
Guy Cecil, Chairman of Priorities USA

“America should be setting an example and leading on the world stage. But instead, Donald Trump is failing us and now we are first in infections and first in deaths. We will never let him rewrite history or hide the truth from the American people.”
